MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
Originally from Saginaw Fort Worth, Having been introduced to dance through Salsa & Bachata, I soon found myself hooked on the country dancing scene in 2021, I was far from a natural having just come out of Marching Band.
It has since become my goal to cultivate new dancers and employ driven dancers. For every student I teach, I aim to build confidence, skill, but most importantly, incite fun on the dancefloor.
Dancing throughout DFW since 2019, I've learned many partner dancing styles ranging from Bachata, Urbankiz, to Brazilian Zouk. In the past few years I've found a love for country dancing and love to spread the joy by helping students master the basics, while encouraging them to find their own style and flair.
My name is Eleanor Hamlet and I've been dancing country swing and two-step for three years. I love teaching and passing on the love of dance to new dancers! I enjoy working through fundamentals and building up to cool moves that are sure to impress people on the dance floor!

What can I expect in my first country dance lesson?
Your first lesson starts with a quick chat about your goals, then we’ll ease into dancing to a song so we can get a feel for your starting point. We’ll break the lesson down into simple steps based on what you want to learn, what we see you need help with, and how you move to the music. Our focus is helping newcomers feel confident on the dance floor!
Do I need a dance partner to take a lesson?
Not at all! Our private country dance lessons are 100% newcomer-friendly and partner-optional. We’ll have an instructor available to dance with you, so you can still learn comfortably even if you’re solo.
Where do the lessons take place?
Private lessons can take place in any local LA Fitness—reach out to find the best locational fit for you! Group classes may take place in Barbara’s Dance Studio in Bedford – please note all private lessons must be scheduled individually!
What styles of dance are offered?
Right now, we specialize in Texas Two-Step with a modern flair. Our style blends traditional country dance with updated techniques you’ll see in the DFW country dance scene—perfect for dancers who want to look good and feel confident on real Texas dance floors.
